What We Once Were

What has this nation become?  
What have we done with ourselves?
We are the nation of hate, the nation of violence
The nation where you wonder what the hell has happened

I will not stand for this
Our society, has anyone even looked?
We are the problem, the people of this world
The ones we love, care for, our friends and family

Look on the walls, the TV
The media rules our hearts and lives
We have become slaves to our own masters
We have become slaves to ourselves

What were we?
What did we become?  
We raised a nation of hate
And are paying for it

Just turn on the radio
Or the TV
Or talk to your friends
They’ll tell you

In words
In actions
In thoughts
Just look

I hope I am not going crazy here

hehehehehe Well just about every word is true. I agree with you. Btw your not crazy. Yet it's funny to me. I'm one of the people who will soon be risking thier lives for this country of hate and violence. I will be one of the people who may leave this county to another one and never return. That's why I laugh. It is true what you say. Nice work.

That's to true, some nations can be kind..."trigger happy"...And some can be like they rule their way with money or power...:( World is an ebil place, but luckily, the world has us, the youths, the hope for a better life, the future.

Awesome Im, sorry I havent been able to read your stuff for a while I've been a bit busy, But Ill make sure to read as much of it as possible. Im finally back in a writing mood again, its awesome, But you know mainly stories, definitely keep it up, I have to check out your new story soon too :D
